Home of the Dakota Mystery series. Welcome to my neck of the woods...er, plains. In many parts of East River Dakota, telephone poles outnumber trees.
East of what river, you ask? That's the Big Muddy aka Missouri River, which cuts through the American states of North Dakota and South Dakota. As many before me have said, they should have divided it into West and East Dakota. West River is ranch land, Indian reservations, and the Black Hills. It gets all the press. Me? I write about East River, that bastion of corn, beans, wheat, bluffs, and rivers. My fictional Eda County is situated in southeastern South Dakota. |
